psone lcd screen

Post by thrasher4556 »

I picked up an lcd + psone combo at gamestop (for $50...decent price) and everything works...except, on the lcd, as far left as you can go there is a vertical line of pixels that are not doing anything..they are just black....it's about 1/4" (give or take a little...probably more like 1/8"..somewhere between 1/4" and 1/8") wide and it stretches all the way from the top to the bottom. I would declare them dead pixels except when I play a movie through the A/V input from my vcr all the pixels are being used and that line is not there. I was wondering if it is supposed to do this? For those of you who have psone lcd's does this happen to you?

Thanks.

I know what you're talking baout. Yes its supposed to do that . Well, maybe not designed to do that, but it does. Yes, some DVD movies actually use the whole screen. They are not dead... You'll notice the same thing with the top of the screen, just not as thick.

Ive had a similar problem, on mine its one column of pixels. Dont worry about it, it is a bit annoying, but its nothing more than that.
