Anyone know how i go about this?
I just recieved an old non working dell laptop with a good LCD still in it, i took it apart and got the LCD out now i want to know how i can connect this monitor into my normal computer and use it as a secondary display via DVI or VGA. It has some connections that went straight to the motherboard, which was dead in the laptop, any ideas?

Re: hmmm
that first pic looks similar to wot i did see how many pins it has if its 15 and ur lucky just try wiring it up to a vga cord and power it up and there u go but thats wot i did and it works like a charm but that looks a bit newer than wot i have so it may not work but its worth a try. Cheers^_^Gebus wrote:Well here are some pictures of the conenctions...
Re: hmmm
Could you give us an estimate on how many wire that has? As r3ap3r said, you might be able to add a vga cable to it, but I can't see how many wires are in the ribbon.Gebus wrote:Well here are some pictures of the conenctions...
