Snes hardware

Post by Kharmakazy »

In the past i have seen some rather shady devices that allowed one to play snes games from floppy disks and back them up etc. The device i remember went in between the cart and the system like a game genie. If one were to include such a device in a portable... one should theoretically be able to play roms as well as carts on the same system..

To reach a bit, perhaps the wiring in it would allow you to hook up other similar pc accesories i.e. flash card, mmc or sd cards...

any thoughts?

yes, although I'm not sure on the power requirements on the UFO.
As for wiring up different storage devices, that all depends on the programming of the unit. Physically it's fairly simple, but it may require the UFO's programming to be re-writen.
