Post by Jakq »

I have just finished my portable NES. No new case, no fancy controlls. Its all in a... um... bag...

It runs off of a gamecube battery
It uses a portable dvd player for a screen
Had some graphics issues, so have to use this dumb black box from pelican

Thats um... Basically it. So, I could have some pics after while, lol.

Oh, and the name "NESp" sounded over used. So I call it either the MobileNES or the NES Mobile.

The power to the NES (also note the Dew, the power to ME)

The screen

To the left is the black box (like a multi system hookup thing)

In game screen

In reality, it looks a lot sharper than that. Oh, and copy/paste the images.[/url]

Except for the poor quality of the photos (buy a better camera!) it looks nice.

So let's see, you took a nes, connected batteries to the power jack and used the a/v jack to hook it up to a screen. You put it all in a bag making it portable and use a standard controller that just plugs in like normal :)
A bit big, but it works.

Well the bag is open when I use it, so I'd hope not. But, anyway, I had an idea like that for a portable snes/n64. Whichever i feel like. I mean the gba sp screen idea. I had all kinds of ideas that ive forgotten about, that I just havent been able to fund. I am only 17 by the way.

do you actually use a spst switch to disconnect the batteries, or do you just press the power button on the nes? If it's the later I'd sugges completely switching off the batteries with a spst switch. I'm just assuming that the screen and nes have quisient(probably spelt wrong) draws

Its a mobile power gc, for the gamecube. I switch the battery off, turn the nes off. I asume the connection is severed. Guese not, lol. Im just gonna dq the battery when its not in use.

EDIT: Oh and the screen, or dvd player, runs off of its own Li-Ion battery.
