Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Post by Sword_Gun »

Man oh man, I was wrong, so wrong.

When I first started to make a portable, I was like "oh sweet! Case's would be easy!", Pfft I was wrong, I cant even get a case going.

Right now Im using a Blue Video Now Color, for my case (Building it), but It my suck.

Guys I need some case ideas, and No im not using a project box (as I cant get them).

Thanks so much,

I'm going to use wood on my case. If you have access to a router and some saws and sandpaper, it should be really easy to form to what you want it to be.

What kind of porta is it as the size of the guts will help determine the cases you can use, I say check out places like pactec and polycase and OKW they all give free samples of enclosures and such you might find something there.

Go to home depot and pick up some plexiglass cut it up with an exacto knife, glue it together, put the guts in, tape over all of the buttons and the screen, and paint it

How do you cut plexi with an exacto knife?
That's a pretty big knife. Or else pretty thin plexi.

Use stuff you find! I say this a lot. You can use cases that you have laying around your house (ex. altiods tins, DVD cases) or even the plastic from videogame cases that you've taken apart. NES cases give you a ton of plastic from the top half, and It's really easy to use.

He finished it already. Though it is kinda ugly. Sword, use a modded tackle box. They're everywhere, and it'll be very nice if done right.
