Finally got PS2 HDD...

Hey, is there anyway to tell if the HDD is working without a game or program that uses the HDD. I don't have a HDD game or prgram, so i don't know if it works. It snot an oficial HDD from Sony. It DOES power up and spin, but I don't know if it actually works. Will it pull up in the browser window? Becuase it doesn't on mine.... If this is any help, i had to slightly modifiy the Network adapter to let the plugs move a little further for the HDD to fit. the plugs were off 1/16" together. not much of a difference. The head scans across the drive, and it spins correctly, but I don't get the HDD in the browser window. thanks.

yhou need a driver I took a 40 gb seagate and hardwired it in and then borrowed my friends driver disc and it works but you need some sort of driver

Driver? this is a PS2 HDD. I was just wondering if the HDD pulled up int he Browser window if it works. Guess not. I'll just buy HDD Advance to load all my games onto HD, ad if it works it works, if not, it doesn't. Thanks though.
