wood filler and holding frames
well I vacuum formed my my first peice to my portable which came out good, except I realized from the extreme temperature in the oven, my holding frame became loose from the adhesive I had holding it together. I decided to use wood filler instead. Would that be enough to withstand it in the oven? Or should I use something else to hold wooden frames together? Thanks-minkster

I held it together with 12 screws and bolts to secure the plastic in between the boards. My problem is that after I vacuum formed the first time, the four pieces of wood that were glued together with a strong automotive glue, became loose from the high temperatures in the oven. so I was wondering if wood filler would be a better alternative. The screws itself don't need any wood filler because they are secure as is.Corscaria wrote:nails or screws?

Will it withstand high temperatures? I've never used epoxy...I have it and it has two tubes...what do you do, just mix it in a bowl or something and apply it to the boards?*o* wrote:wood filler isnt adhesive...use epoxy (alraldite)
Sorry for the noobish questions

yep you just mix them in a disposable container and it should be able to withstand several hundred degrees probably
