this is a dumb question but...

Do you have a technical question that doesn't really fit a specific console? Want some general info on electronics, hacking, making cookies, etc? Here's the place to ask! Go nuts.

EDIT: darn you anotherperson you got to it while I was getting images for him
it depends on how you wire it, if in parallel it combines amps, if inseries it combines voltage.

No; you'd still have the voltage from the parallel AND series circuits running in, making it something like 21 or 22 volts!

if you wanted twice the voltage and twice the amperage of one battery you would need 4 cells 2 sets of 2 parallel batteries wired in series like this

Code: Select all

Since they seem to be wired in parallel, and there are 10 of them, that'd give you 7.2V at 42000mAh, or 42Ah.

I'd be careful with that much power, if this isn't a joke problem. You may get current burn if you screw up while messing with that much power, and should you actually have a use for something with such obscene battery requirements, better make sure you use low gauge (pretty thick) wire.

You're dealing with just a hair over 300 Watts of energy there. Be VERY careful.
Warranty-Voiding fun!

Alright I am going to learn you physics

Parallel

I tot = I1 + I2 + I3
Vtot = V1 = V2 =V3

Series

I tot = I1= I2 =I3
Vtot = V1+V2+v3

I= Current ie amps
V= Voltage ie electric potential
I refuse to dignify myself with an intelligent and witty signature
