where can i learn this stuff?

Do you have a technical question that doesn't really fit a specific console? Want some general info on electronics, hacking, making cookies, etc? Here's the place to ask! Go nuts.

"look before you leap" seems aplicable in this situation. ask questions before you go tearing into stuff, and this also belongs in the screen section

is it a CRT or an LCD (whats the model number)? it might be impossible to patch a video signal into that. does it have inputs?

I originally learned what I know by leaping then looking :P
Just jump in a cheap electronics device, play around, and look up what you don't know on google to help you along.

Just hanging out around the forums is a great way to learn. I knew a bit when I first came here, but now I know a ton more.
