N64 controller type

Does anyone know an N64 controller type that uses two boards.(For my N64 Portable this would help so much)I rember Gannon talking about one but I don't rember the Brand. Anything would be appreciated.

It's called the boomerang controller and it's made by Nuby and it's model # is 001268
It has a rumble feature built in also, although I doubt that I'll use it.

Are there any other dual board controllers or does anyone know where to get a Nuby Boomerang controller?

Yeah, I checked around and it's almost imposible to find a boomerang controller online. I'm sure there are other off brand ones that use 2 or more boards though

Nobody knows of any other brands that do. I found one on ebay that might be but i can't tell. It's by Myiicco has a built in rumble and other things here's a link to it.

Even with a official n64 controller you can cut off the button boards and relocate them, you just have to solder the traces.

I was thinking about that but where the A and B buttons are there's no really good spot to cut them. Plus the leads are pretty small.

Yeah, I still need to get a finer point for my soldering iron so I can solder things like the ps2 laser wires, the leads are less than a mm apart on it

Has anyone cut around the A,B, and C buttons and soldered wires to it succesfully. If so I'd really like to know how. I might be able to solder the area back on but I'll probably need a finer tip for my soldering iron.

I finally decided to desolder the pins and just keep the controller how it is alraedy, I picked one up today and tried it a trashed controller I have and it's really easy. I just have to make sure all the yellow tape junk is off before I desolder otherwise it leaves this nasty yellow grease stuff that ruins it.
