NOAC setup

Post by Notwhole »

I've been working on a portable NES. I've found a pirate NOAC and got everything ripped apart, the problem is putting the pieces back together. Most pin-outs I've found online involve 12 wires, and this oddball has 13. I thought I had the A/V and power wires traced, but when I connected the battery pack, not only did I not get any audio or video, but the board overheated, so I'm pretty sure I shorted something out. It doesn't seem to be permanently damaged, but I guess it's about time I aked the people who know more about this than I. Firstly, does anyone know the pinouts on this board? Second, what is the proper way to complete the circuit on this so I prevent another portable toaster? And lastly, what's the most efficient way to determine pinouts in case I get a different board in future projects?

Also, gannon, are you still selling Super Joys and/or 60-72 adapters? If so, I may be interested in picking up a couple of each if I can get this sorted out or need to replace some fried circuitry.

Thanks in advance for any help.

For the power and av i/o, I would check where the cables connect to inside the case. You can use a mulimeter to check the controller pins.
I'm still selling them, I'm not sure when I'll get around to getting the super joys in stock, but I should have the nes-fami converters in in a few weeks.

Crap....now the site's back up, but the mysql is down again!!
I guess I shouldn't complain much since abbibi is hosting me for free, but this is really annoying!

If I were to use a free hosting service I'd use http://freeserverhost.com
They have great hosting for mysql and php, good sized space and bandwidth too.

Well, .tk domains can either be used as referals, pointing to tripod.lycos.com/gannon and such, or you can directly access your dns servers which is what I'm using atm.
