which case to make???

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

which case to make???

Post by geekbait111 »

Hi, I finally got a webpage! it's pretty stupid right now, enjoy :D
http://sds.com.istemp.com/index.html?XTIME=1143645960
anyway, I was wondering which case to make (the image is too big to put on here). It's on the right hand side, well kind of obvious. If you don't like the color of a case, feel free to tell me... thankies
P.S I'm doing vacume forming (if you don't know)

yeah I like the first one too a bit more, but I haven't made up my mind yet.

Oh yeah, also if someone doesn't like any of the cases you can feel free to say whatever is on your mind, and if you have suggestions you can also say them (I'll be happy to do em).

They are both pretty cool, but the first one by far is best. It may present some problems, though, what with the split controller board. Nothing you can't do, I'm sure  .
A re-positioned cart slot on your first portable?!?! Good luck with that; you are a braver man than I :) .

definitely 1st design, it looks better and is more compact. use a 6 buitton controller though because 3 buttons isn't good for MK3

I can just sense the sarcasim in that post :D .I agree that the 1st is the best, but I will have troubles. V.1 won’t have a relocated slot and won’t be fully portable (no spit controller and no controller built in). In other words, it’ll be bad. My goal by Aug. (when a 7 hour car trip up to my vacation) that V.2 (with split controller, full portable, slot relocated probably) will be finished. I assume v.1 will be finished by May. Then I’ll work on my case, so I’m planning ahead of time.
-Daguuy- I don't have any games that require 6 buttons :D, but thanks for advice.
-And for obvious reasons I'll do the 1st case, but should I make improvments on the looks? If you have suggestions feel free to tell me em  .
-Anyways Thankies all!

Actually, I think you should just screw V.1, and go straight for V.2. Splitting the controller isn't THAT hard ; just redesign the back of the case so you don't have to do any messy cart slot relocating. That way, it will not only be easier, but faster. I'd say if you work hard at it, you can probably get it done in a month or two.

oh... woops I think I may have not told you this but I wasn't going to make a case for v.1 which makes it stupid (I realized because of your post) to call it v.1(stupid me) because it's not even a portable... So I guess I'll make v.1 v 0.5 and I'll make v.2 v.1 .In other words everything has been downgraded. But thankies for making me realize that :D .
