Battery for Slim PS2?

Post by Neuromods »

Hey guys, I'm new here. Usually I post on Xbox Scene and into customizing and modding Xbox's. Now finding Ben's site and seeing all this kick ass stuff I'm interested in portables!

I noticed on Ben's PS2 Portable he used this exact battery, http://online.racent.biz/online/product ... oductid=13

My question is will this battery simply plug into the Slim PS2's power connector.. You know, the little yellow thing on the back LOL :P (see the pix on this site http://www.engadget.com/entry/8413288107686276)
Will the battery connect there and run it? Is this all Ben did was simply connect this battery with it's universal adapters and that PS2 cut on!? How long you think that battery would last running the Slim PS2 without anything else connected to it?

My idea is simple.. I plan on buying a Slim PS2 in the future. Installing it into a small briefcase with the battery connected and using my portable DVD player as a screen. It will be small enough to carry and play on planes or a train. I ride trains a lot, so I want something that can sit on my lap and keep me busy. (A woman on my lap is outa the question while on a train) :(

I saw he did take it apart, but do you think I can run the Slim PS2 without ripping the battery apart and just connecting it? 8)

im sure you can, but i havn't seen the power connector for an assembled pack. you woul either need to make your own connector to plug into it, or if it is a standard connector, you could purchase a connector to work with it. good luck on your portable!
