Thinking about vacuuming, questions!

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Thinking about vacuuming, questions!

Post by Klefmung »

Would I just get a wall plug and touch the postive and the negative with a switch in order to heat it up, or some other method? How would I fashion a mold to suck it over? If the plastic has cuts in it alrady, could it vacuum form without said cuts? Thank you for your time.

1. Use your oven to heat the plastic. Make a frame to hold the plastic sheet in place.
2. I'm using wood layers to make my mold (actually called a buck or positive) and sanding it down, wood putty etc
3. The cuts will cause problems when they are stretched out.

I'll get some pictures of my table tomorrow so you can see how I do it.
