Front lit is like GBA SP (i think) and backlit is like the DS screen and laptop LCDs. The GBA SP has something just like the afterburner mod (i think), which is a film that goes over the screen and spreads the light evenly across the screen, which then reflects off the screen. The DS or laptop screen has the light shining through the screen. Backlit provides better visibility. You've noticed how the SP screen has a blue tint at certain angles, right? Backlit screens don't have much of that at all.

You mean the famicom cart adapter, the yellow one? My GTA came with one. Otherwise I don't know how anyone would be able to play games on it unless GTA started making their own gameboy size games. Unfortunately, I've never seen them independently for sale. Mystery, the company that makes the GTA, was supposed to make a NES adapter as well but never did. Maybe they went out of business.
