The screen always turned on, however, the snes won't start up. The cart isn't backwards...I have no idea why it won't start the game???

Yeah, check the voltage coming from the 7805 on the SNES board, check the voltage going to the PSone screen and all the rest of that stuff. Also, check your video connections, if they're wrong, you'll get nothing.

I confirmed all the connections and everything is connected correct (as shown a few posts back) and the volts are correct. The only thing that we noticed is that the backlight is NOT getting any volts.

What is the power requirements for the backlight and is there a way to possibly jump a fuse or something on the board to get the volts to the backlight?

Any other ideas what could be wrong?

:::EDIT:::
I did order the LED's you recommended (and saw the results too), but for now, I want to jump it just to help me figure out wtf is wrong with this board... =(

Ok, I hope I can repay you for my stupidity. I thought that the mini SNES DID output RGB, but it doesn't. The signals are there, but they have to be acquired from a few places. Check here for the mod needed to make this work: http://www.gamesx.com/rgbadd/snes2rgb.htm :oops:

Well, you can just try getting composite off the board to see if it still works, the reason you aren't getting sound and such is because the PSone screen won't output sound unless there is video.

Thats the thing...I connected pin 9 on the snes a/v spot to pin 1 on slot 2 of the screen, but nothing comes up anymore. And pin 5 and 6 of the snes a/v is connected pin 4 and 8 i believe of slot 2 (ground). I'm not getting anything at all. Is there anything else i can try to see whats wrong?

My sexy beast is back!!! The problem was the screen itself...i grabbed a new one (used) and when I made the connections, BINGO!!! That was my problem. Now, I have an extra board on the side I am not sure if its still good or not...any way I can jump the board to see if its still usable?

Next, the sound...just connect the headphone jack like usb posted before and I'll get sound??? or do I need to connect something from the snes board to the screen first? or can I connect the snes board to the headphone jack??? What's the deal here??? Thanks!!! I'll take pictures in a few...need batteries! O_O :shock: O_O :shock:
