Sodler is like, 60% tin, so to tin it basically means to get some solder smeared on the tip.

EDIT: I found this site rather informative:

Melt some solder onto your tip, then place the tip lightly above a wet piece of paper towel while you turn your iron around. Don't set it right down on the paper towel, just enough to keep the solder from flying off when you twirl it around. Move your solderring iron around in that glob of solder until the whole end of the tip is coverred with solder.

you should probably invest in a sponge. i think one came with my iron actually. they are squishy which helps with the wiping of the tip. they kind you gotta use is the yellow kind that gets hard when it dries out

Yes, using a sponge is usually better than wet paper towel, but not when you're tinning using the instructions I gave. In my experience, the solder will just fall into the sponge if it is a big enough blob, while it will just sit on the top of a wet paper towel.

Hey Turbo, did you know that in Delaware the death penalty can be carried out by hanging. That is somehow related to use talking about solderring iron tips, I'm just not quite sure how.

They can't use the gas chamber, atleast not legally. They can hang people, or give them lethal injections. Though they usually use lethal injections, they could still hang a criminal, if they decided to. It would, however, have to take place in a prison, as public executions are now illegal. New Hampshire and Washington are the other 2 states that can execute by hanging.

Another interresting "death row" fact, is that both Alabama and Nebraska have the death penelty, but they don't acknowledge the lethal injection system, so their only form of execution is by electricution.

I don't think that's true. From what I've read, if you live through your "execution", they sentence you again.
