I believe it was gannon, Spongey, Gamelver, or Jack, who told me that it is better to switch the grounds, rather than power. Since that day, I have based all my theories around that. a lot of people switch power, and one of the members that I haaven't seen in a couple weeks, swore by it, but I prefer switching grounds.

Arg! :evil: i cant find a regulator like chodges!!!!!!!!!!! Can anyone tell me where i can get something very similar if not identical to chodges? Please keep in mind i'm in america. (the one i posted earlier can only handle 400 mA!)

BTW: The verge screen can handle 8v right?

6. Doesn't really matter. Some third party controllers use joysticks with pots, and some have better sticks. If they use pots, they are easy to replace with GC joysticks

If it has a pot, and is the same value as the one in your controller, then you just replace it. Unfortunately, the first party N64 controller uses an LED and light sensors.
