PS1 Screen Pics/Scans Needed

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Like I said before, why would I need that if the screen works fine when I pop it into the base? The base connector doesnt go anywhere near that pin. There are only 6 pins, and I have traced them all. 2 for power, 2 for audio, 2 for video. Remember, this is a pre-hacked PS1 Screen. Verge did all the relitive dirty work for me.

I have been trying to use Alkaline "C" batteries to power the screen. I get power, but no video. I have been using the standard 6 pin DIN socket on the screen itself to provide the video and power inputs (the screen detaches from the base). I just dont get video. I dont think I need to ground the pin on the "Slot 1" connection. Why would I if im using the same ports that the screens base uses? Im just hoping that I dont NEED the power inverter board from the base. It doesnt look liek it does anything to the video signal.
I got one of these screens the other day for another project, and it works fine without being plugged into the base. I didn't use the plug on the bottom of the control board though. I snipped the wires (video, power and ground, I don't need the audio for what I'm doing) and rewired them temporarily to an RCA jack (for video) and to a battery pack/switch (power). I had it hooked up to 6 AAs for power and a PS2 for video, and everything worked without a problem. I did notice, however, that when there is no video signal the screen and light are not on at all (similar to how the original screen needs +5v to switch it on).

When I power my screen, it turns on The backlight is on, and brightness and contrast work fine. From looking at the bases' circuit, its just a stepdown power pack. None of the parts on it seem to do anything with A/V signals. Hell, the thing has to have about 10 components. GThe A/V seem to be to be directly connected to the screen.

Even when I plug the screen into the bases' power supply, and pop in my own video source, I get no video. This is a serious WTF situation.

And the screen works just fine on the bas,e im sure i just have a bad connection or some crap.
