Concept that I won't ever finish.

I took apart my GBC today (Not an easy task, getting the screws out without breaking the plastic) and I have come to the conclusion that I am not up to the task of doing this. At least not with a GBC. If I can get my paws on a SP I may be tempted to try again.
Getting a tan while everyone else is in a blizzard... >.<
I think it's be fun to do it with a DS. Sure, one of the screens would be open and susceptible to scratches all the time, but it's still be cool.
Or maybe the original game boy. If you screw it up, it only costs $10 to get another one used. And it already has the electronics on 2 circuit boards (more like 4, but there are 2 main boards if I remember correctly), so you wouln't have to chop it in half like all of the other non-SP ones.

That is a good idea, it is meant to go back and forth so it will handle the stress better. The only hard part is soldering all those little connections, someone with skill could handle it though. To bad I don't have those kind of skills.Indigno wrote:Another idea I just had is that you could hack apart an old printer and take the ribbon cable out of it.
If you're feeling brave you could also use the existing PCB and use the leads from that.vskid wrote:That is a good idea, it is meant to go back and forth so it will handle the stress better. I don't understand what you just said.Indigno wrote:If you're feeling brave you could also use the existing PCB and use the leads from that.vskid wrote:That is a good idea, it is meant to go back and forth so it will handle the stress better.
