My PS2p project thus far...

I've got all the parts routed and the case assembled... I'm starting to put components in it now. It's got some weird stuff, like the DVD drive mounting to the right analog stick board on one side and the CPU heatsink on the other but it should work. This is far and away the most complex portable I've done.

I STILL can't find a PSone screen to shove in it. Toys are Us has them for $130 new, screw that! Every time I try to get one off eBay someone swoops in and nabs it.

Anybody got an extra PSone screen they'd be willing to sell me?

hmm...well I have one sitting on my desk atm waiting for me to mod the backlight since the old one burnt out, but I'm not sure if I can part with it

With shipping its close to $50 though. Still a good deal. www.ebgames.com used to have $50 PS one screens but I just checked and they only have a PS one and LCD combo for $80. Bummer.
It seems that PS one screens are getting harder to find.

I have a PSone screen but I want to use it for my N64p once I get the hinge fixed (the screwposts are busted). I really need a new case....Anybody want to sell me a case for about $6?

I got one off a Buy it Now on ebay. That's better than dealing with "auction vultures" who'd drive the price up anyway.

Assuming I get the screen by early next week I can probably have the PS2p finished by next Friday. The "making of" is gonna be less BS and more actual "how I did it"

If you want to wait until mid-January you can buy Ben's book. If he still has one of his PSp up in the for sale section and you want to email him, just copy and paste the address to a letter inside your account.

I've got case parts for a few more portables (that I may sell if you want to use them with my book) but after my PS2p is done I'm gonna take a break from portables to FINISH MY MOVIE! I think I've squirted out enough portables for one year...

Once my movie is finished I'll probably build my Atari 800 laptop finally.
