Controller problems

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Controller problems

I did some searching, nothing related to this.

The cable between the cart port and the controller broke, So I'm trying to solder the controller directly to the pins. There are 11 of them on the board, And I'm not shuire where to put which.

Now ordinarily I would do a continuity test, but the cable is broken, Unable to get exact pins.

So I have 5 wires from the controller going to something like

1 2 3 4 5
6 7 8 9 10 11

If anyone had the pinouts for this board, they would be appreciated!


EDIT: This is how I connected it, According to that diagram, Ground to 11, 5v to pin 6, and 5,4,3 connected to latch data and clock. (this didnt work)

Can anyone give some pinouts?

Nevermind, I found another controller port cable that wasnt torn. I think I will post pinouts if I can get them. (later) to whoever may need them later.

since u said the clock doesnt work just get and a little watch cut a little whole and put it in

"clock" is the name of one of the controller's data lines.

or were you just kidding? I hope so. :P

Dont worry. The pins I had earlier werent even close, so they didnt work. Im getting the correct ones now, testing them, and Then I can share them.

YUeah it was, sorry I didnt mention that. Im Getting the pins for second player now, The player 1 buttons worked, first try.
