power

Post by Joes2Silly »

I got a PSOne from ebay and it didn't come with power. So I looked at the hook up place and it said 7.5 volts but all I can find is somsthing with 12 volts. Will that work or will it fry my PSOne

It will fry like an egg.

Use a 7808 regulator to knock the power down to about 8v, which it will run off of safely.

Or use 7.2v battery set up. That what I did with mine, I soldered the battery connector to the power connectors and plug my battery in. The PSone says it needs 7.5v but its using 7805 regulators so its really 5v. Like I said put in 7.2v batteries (readally avalible) and you'll be set.
