I've just managed to get my official PSone screen to display the video output of my PS2 by using a G-Con adaptor to bridge the connection, like this:

I was wondering how I would go about getting video input from another source - like the Gamecube, for example. If I understand correctly, all I would need is a regular PSone/PS2 SCART cable, only with a female connector fitted to the end instead of a male one.
Can anybody help me figure out how to go about that? My best guess was to buy another G-Con adaptor and match up the wires to a Playstation SCART cable, but I don't know if that would work - and if it would work, if that is the best way to go about this.
The other way I'm imagining is to buy one Gamecube lead and one Playstation lead and match them up that way, but again I'm not too sure about how this would work out.
Any help would be most appreciated.
RGB input on official PSone screen without modification?

I've got a European PS2, so it defaults to RGB anyway. In fact, I don't even think you can turn it offriva16 wrote:To get RGB from PS2 without odification, change the setting from composite to RGB in the Browser menu...
I've managed to get the PS2 to output RGB when connected to the screen, but I want to connect other consoles that are RGB-enabled. The problem is, they all use their own custom connector, so I'm looking for a way of splicing them together so they can go straight in - or something else along these lines.
If you can find a male to male SCART adapter, you can get a PSX/PSOne/PS2 SCART cable and plug it into the back (straight wire connection from the front male plug, to the rear female one). Only thing to worry about is wether or not your PSOne screen needs 5volts on the PSX connector, and if so, that the other console's SCART cable outputs it.
I've got a SCART multi-block that can serve that purpose, and tried to do what you're describing earlier on. The screen powers on as soon as you turn on the Gamecube, but it displays no picture. There's a faint buzzing sound that comes on and off now and again as well. I tried two different leads, on with all of it's pins and another with a few missing, and neither worked.tom61 wrote:If you can find a male to male SCART adapter, you can get a PSX/PSOne/PS2 SCART cable and plug it into the back (straight wire connection from the front male plug, to the rear female one). Is the female connector exactly the same as the male one? Is it possible that it will only accept a picture through the male connector?
me too
This is the very thing I am trying right now. Your first suggestion about making a special cord with the female in place of the male adaptor I tried, both RGB and just the one video thing but any way I tried it with my friends dad it would not work. It pissed me off so much.
Now I still want to put any video thru it like RGB or svideo or anything other thing then the dumb 12 pinout thing. So far now one can put the answer is noob pictures and words for me.
