If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.
does anyone know how to decrease the power usage??? i have no idea what the backlight is, but i can't take it apart because i stripped a screw trying to open it
madc0w: Do you mean you stripped a Screen Screw, or Gamecube Screw? I have the same Verge Gamecube Screen, and im trying to figure out how to lower the power requrements for the screen. If you detach the screen from the base, it uses 7.5V but I havent been able to get the correct amperage. I want to fool arround with it, but i fried the last screen I experimented on.
never mind, i opened it
i think there might be a lightbulb inside, but i don't want to figure it out, because everything is glued down and i don't want to break it
