Ready...Set...Go....Now What?

Post by Loading... »

I am planing to make a SNESp. I want to buy a new SNES. I don't know where to buy them cheaply. I think ebay is the best. I also want to know what would be the best type of screen for the least amount of money. I've wanted to do this for some time but i've never had the money. Now that i have a source of money i'm ready to start.

Ebay is the cheapest I've found. Screens are based on preference from my perspective. Handheld tvs are about the same price your going to pay for a PSOne screen off of ebay $65-125. I know its a broad number but what are you going to do.

Buyrite is terrible, look towards Ebay.

'Nentendo', 'Nentindo', and 'Nintindo' turn up results == CHEAP CONSOLES!

The screws might be covered by little rubber things that are used for when the screen closes on the gamecube. Or you might just have to pry open the screen with a flathead screwdriver.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I good choice for screens and I don't know why more people don't know about this, are those controller screens. Its a 2.6" lcd screen. I have to for my ps1 thats in my car and they work great. Only thing is the back of the screens heat up fast !

But i got them for 50 bucks canadian with a free game i returned for 30 so it only cost me 20$ each canadian so if your a cheepo like me buy one for aroun 15$ american its a lot cheaper than a 120$ portable tv there expensive cause it picks up tv reception.

Also its perfect for a snes because the connection (buy the gamecube version of the controller screen) is the same as the gamecube so all u do it unscrew it throw away the GC controller part and keep the screen. At the system end of the wires there is the SNES/n64/GC adapter for tv a power outlet (im not sure how much power is reqiured only 11 wats though) and the third is the gamecube controller outlet (this will go with the controller) you can gut the scrren and put it in it comes build with sterio speakers as well as a headphone jack.

You can cut the cord short hide it all inside and rewire it.

The only downside i can c is the over heating.
I loef pie and cheese.
PSX is up and running in not the Civic but Acura

The key reason most people havent used the hip screens are they require and input of 12v. Althogh you can get the voltage down to 8 with removing the power regulator and doing the LED mod thats still .8v over most systems power input.

If the system's power goes into a 7805, then there can be anywhere from 7.2 to 35 volts, I think, so you can just use what ever the screen uses and then use that for the system too.
