why does it say in the book that a SNESp cost more than a PS1p

The Mini SNES consoles generally cost more than the PSone, to start with... right?

And it looks like the wiring is a bit more complex, at least he says it is more challenging to build a SNESp than a PSonep.

in the book it seems to me that Ben think PS1 is harder. Skiping is a problem, high power requirments, and the shoulder buttons are hard to deal with

I am personally making a PSonep. It's cheaper for me. (I have something like 33 PS games, 0 SNES games.

They might be. I'm still in the stages of getting basic wiring done with my PSp.

As for building the thing a PSone will cost you $25-35, not bad at all. You'll also be looking for a screen of which you can find out about.

Just do the PSp its less wiring, cheaper and the sooner you get a portable done the sooner you'll be able to enjoy it.

My PSOnep is up to about $90-$100 CAD.

Money went something like this. (All prices are in CAD...

)

PSOne : $20
Extra Controlers : $30 (Buggered my other ones
Screen : $50 (I know but i'm canadian and its hard to find a PSOne Screen here in Canada)
LEDs : $5 (Found them at a local store dirt cheep)
Buttons : $0 (got them out of a old VCR)

All in all not a bad price at all

PSonePs are cheap, i think not counting the price of the psone and screen and stuff i spent about 10$ on mine just tact switches and a 5$ 3rd party controller (used controllers are even cheaper less than $2.99 at gamestop)

I paid.. lemme see...

$30 for my PSone
$2 for a memory card
$0 soldering iorn, solder, braid
$0 case materials
$0 for information (thx, everyone. Gotta love the internet.)

and I still need to get:
-an Intec screenpad ($20)

Most of this has been paid with money I earned by doing yard work and stuff like that, so I have only paid about $10 out of my wallet.

the snes is actually pretty easy you just have to practice soldering if you are going to "Rewire All Those Darn Capacitors"

Hey if you go to wal mart, You can get(if they still stock it) a new PSone and Lcd screen for $70 compared to the $150 at places like game stop. that would probably be the easiest way to go, all easily compatible in one box
