So yeah....I'm making one more lol...just cause I can XD The plan for this design...smallness. I'm aiming to create my smallest portable NES yet. After much design work, I'm 100% certain that I can keep the whole device within the size limits of an original Game Boy! The key will be the cart placement, where instead of having the cart slide through the top of a landscape case, it will instead stick straight out the back in a portrait style case.
SO without further delays, progress!
Yeah, I already started this thing before starting the thread lol.
Just a little while ago, I purchased some squishy tacts for the controller board. These will be MUCH easier to work with than using original buttons (like on the PNES Mark2A, and the Neutron). Also, they feel a bazillion times better than regular clicky tacts.

As can be seen from this layout, it's pretty much identical to the layout on the GBO.
Just like on the Neutron, I'm using a "centralized board" for this machine. The C-board I made for the Neutron worked out so well, that I couldn't help but duplicate the design for this PNES MarkIII. The only real difference on this is the addition of a better video amp for the NOAC, and much smaller caps (many salvaged from burned out radicas

That's all for now...next time we'll get onto the case work
