Question about the Tremor Pack Plus

Just recently purchased one of these things for a dollar. It both rumbles and has a slot for the memory card, selectable by switch.

Now when I put a memory card in it, and flip the switch, it tells me that my memory card is damaged. Does the same thing in rumble pack mode. This is on Turok Dino Hunter.

However, if I put a memory card in it the regular way it reads fine and can open the card. Also the regular rumble pack works in DK64 and others so the slot itself is fine. It all comes down to the tremor pack plus.

Is my tremor pack bad?

There are two switches on the tremor pak plus, one that changes rumble intensity, another that selects the memory card. make sure you've flipped the right one ( labeled save/rumble, obviously)beyond that I don't know what could be wrong. These things (the tremor pack, not the memory card) are fairly durable though (one of mine once got fully submerged in water and worked after it dried out).
