hey guys SCREEN MIS-HAP! please help!!

Post by ultimatehackr »

okay so i was doing the brightness mod on my ps1 screen and my solder is very cheap along with a bad soldering iron that doesn't heat up all the way to the tip, and with a man with poor soldering skills. I tried to jump it and couldn't get it, until finally i succeeded after adding much heat. I put tape on there, but i accidentally pulled one side off, and the " i don't know what to call it exactly," but it is on the board and it kind of connects the brightness component to the rest of the board. like a wire but more like a sticker also. you see, it just peeled right off, although not all the way, but enough to where its not connected the the brightness control component anymore. so is there still Hope? any help will benefit, Thanks :lol:

Yes;
There is hope.

It is a wire or "trace", if you can solder it back in place things should start working again.

You will need to use flux or rosin to get it to stick to the contact since adding too much solder to it could be problematic, and oxidization will prevent it from connecting otherwise.
