EDIT: Anyone know? Because I don't want to use a 7808. It gets way too hot stepping down that much volts. As I said, maybe a switching regulator would be best?

Im just wondering if there is a good voltage regulator i could use that drops voltage to 7-8 volts for a psone screen im using in my gamecube portable. I'd like for it to not get very hot (maybe a switching regulator?)
