Community Events?

Post by gamemasterAS »

How would people feel about some community events? Maybe we could livestream a movie or a season of tv. Or maybe we could play some halo 1 together or half life 2 death match.

Movie streams/chat would be cool. I'd watch that awful super mario bros movie with you people.

I was thinking something really really horrible that we could all rag on. So yeah, super mario bros is a good suggestion :p

I personally would be in favor of community events.

There is a Benheck Steam group, we could set something up through there. It could use to be a little more active. (Just looked, you're a member of it already)

Lets start getting an official list of movies going. How about we get 5 suggestions, vote on them, and then watch them in the order they ranked? Does this system sound good? What would people think about watching Hackers?

How about Port Washington? I haven't had a chance to watch that yet and I've been meaning to.

I was just talking about maybe getting a stream of that going in Ben's give away thread. I would definitely be down for Port Washington. Does anyone have any idea how much upstream you need for a livestream?

I'd be willing to participate. Maybe voicechat. :) So I can yell at the movies.

Any of those terrible Asylum films, like Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, or the fakey Sherlock Holmes one they did. Or Steve Oedekirk's Thumb movies, although those are kinda short.

Fantastic idea in general, though!

I tried doing a test stream and it was just atrocious. Time Warner gives 25mbps down but I'm lucky if I break .7mbps up.
