AHH! What happened? Total nonworkingness.

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

AHH! What happened? Total nonworkingness.

I had a working LED modded screen. I started testing some voltage with my multimeter on the second transformer thing because my SNES wan't getting power. Suddenly, the LEDs went out. I figured out that there was a loose strand on the LED lead. I tried to turn it on again but now, NOTHINGS working. I mean that even the screen isn't showing any life, and the LED's are un-lit. I'm mainly concerned about the screen not getting power (ex: usually, the screen gets dark and you can see faint images on it without the LED's lighting up, now its not doing anything).
What would be the cause of this, could a multimeter break it? ( I was using the positive lead of the multimeter on the negative thing and the negative lead on the multimeter on the positive thing on the PSONE screen) Please, I beg of someones help!

It sound like you blew a fuse... You could have been bridging two points that created a short. In bens book theres a pic that shows where the fuse bypass is. By bypassing the fuse you get the screen to work, but next time theres a short the screens dead for good.

Yeah, and if it shorts one, odds are that it will short again, possibly the next time you try to use it. Always replace rather than jump a fuse when possible. Fuses exist for a reason.
Warranty-Voiding fun!
