avoid eye damage, looking at monitor?

Post by HotDog-Cart »

Hey guys.

I usually don't get any eye pain from looking at a monitor. Heck. I've been infront of one for 60 hours with no pain.

But I'm planning on ussing my 32" TV as a computer monitor soon.

I'd be about 4ish feet away from the TV. You guys think this could damage my eyes?

I'm infront of a 19" desktop monitor or a 15.6" laptop for like 90% of the day, as it is. (This 32" would replace the 19")

As long as you can focus on the screen comfortably you should be fine.

I had a problem once, I was on a plane to visit my dad. He used to be a sprint canada consultant or some thing. Any way I got a flight out form victoria to see him and the hole way I just stayed on my laptop programming this game I was making through high school. I couldn't sleep wile traveling those days and I just plugged off on it non stop. some time latter I got picked up by some company driver and brought to the big sprint building in Ottawa to sit in an office, I had a few hours to kill so I opened Soda play. I don't know what it was switching from LCD to CRT but I couldn't even see when they came back with my dad. I've never had any problems since. I don't have any concern with looking into different screens. I guess the only concern I would have with Pain as a result of looking at screens is that of length of use and brightness setting. I like to rock medium to almost Dim wile reading in bed or what ever.

they have not banned you yet? they need too.

Actually never mind. keep posting and wasting what ever time you've got. most real people, people who really have other things to do would at least keep a post count that raises... what ever you are bot or bored jerk off, please go out side. your probably big and sweaty from sitting at home dicking around. Going out side will get you exercise, it will be good for your skin, you will come up with original ideas. you should seek sun light at least once a day for a few hours.

short of that keep embarrassing your self. if your a bot, your a vary unoriginal one, and you need work.

having sex once in your life could help as well, please find a consensual partner of your appropriate age, over look the ID part if you have to. but don't drug her, or him, that's called rape. a thing your familiar with in any thread your failing to contribute too.

cennar please go write a novel, i would buy it.

i think he was referring to the post
"as long as you can comfortably focus on it you should be fine"

im pretty sure the optimal level for pc screens is arms length, from straight back shoulders back (good posture)
i was also told that every half hour you should look at something at least 15 metres away for 30secs-minute.

but i never do any of that crap so who knows, i think the main concern will be making sure your brightness levels are not eye killing material
