surges of noobs
one thing I have noticed recently. I have found that the forums can be fairly normal, with the daily new members asking questions or putting up a thread for a project and the likes. But then there are a lot of times when some finished worklog or something in the news forum has been dead for months, until one noob posts something stupid and before you know it, you get 15 other posts on it from idiots with a 1 or 2 post count. Take techknot's ps3 wvi thread for example. I was just wondering who else has noticed this.

I've noticed even though my activity has been low. I haven't seen a good portable from benheck for a while.
Our veteren members are taking a break and doing other projects and the noobs just can't do it alone.

Re: surges of noobs
I do realize that, just look at my first post.
But there's a difference between a noob with a legitimate question and one that doesn't read stickies, or even bothers to use proper grammer or spelling.
I was one of them though.

An actual requirement to look at the stickies on a board before you can make your first post. A lot of people don't even know they're there.
Re: surges of noobs

Re: surges of noobs
Some people don't have to be douche bags like dragonhead was. They were just trying to ask questions about it and he wanted to be a dick. We all start as noobs no matter how long you've been posting somewhere. I haven't been here long but I have found out a lot about this kind of stuff you guys do. Some people are to impatient to read all the stickies or read threw a lot of threads to find what they need/want to know.
