That wouldn't help. The wifi card in the Wii receives (not sends) the wifi signals, so nothing you do to it will make the actual signal stronger or with longer range.

Your choices are:
- get a wifi repeater
- get a router with a larger range (N-speed router)
- move the Wii and router closer together
- use a wired connection

Oneother thing that just occurred to me - google your router model and add "Wii" to the search query. Somebody somewhere will typically have had the same problem. I found I picked up the wifi better when I changed the channel the wifi was set to. Worth a try anyway.

They discontinued an ethernet (wired) to usb adapter if that sounds appealing.

the usb adapter is faster than the wireless.. plus you dont have to worry about any interferences while downloading or playing online.
ive seen them at pawn shops and flea markets for 10 to 15 bucks.. if your router is close to your wii, its worth it.
