What RAM can you use/recommend for an Asus M4A77 Motherboard?

According to the manufacturer's website it can take 4 sticks of DDR2 1066, up to 4 GB per stick. You need an AM2+ or AM3 CPU to use 1066, otherwise you have to use 800. Avoid the very outdated 667 RAM, stepping up to 800 is worth the extra few bucks. (If your existing RAM is 667, either get more 667 or upgrade all of it to 800.)

As far as what ram in particular to buy, general rules apply. Avoid no-name brands, and keep an eye on the RAM speed on the product page. (If you see a suspiciously cheap set, then chances are it's slow crap the company's trying to get rid of.) OCZ, Kingston, Corsair, Gigabyte, etc are good brands to start with.
