new psp mem stick wont format | photofast cr-5400

hey, i just got my 16 GB micro sdhc card (sandisk brand), and i put it in my adapter in slot 1

i put the adapter with the sd card into my psp, and i try to format it, and it won't format

can anybody please help me on this, because im switching from 1 GB of psp mem to 32 GB of psp mem (with photofast adapter, and 2 16 GB micro sdhc cards [both sandisk brand] )

please help me on this

also, it says there is no memory stick inserted, but when i goto photos or videos, it says there is 14 GB worth of space in it

any help would be nicely appreciated

First and foremost, there is a 24 hours before bumping rule. Look at the damn timestamp before you post. You do this constantly, and you come off as very impatient and pushy. That's not an attitude that's gonna get a lot of help.

Secondly, what PSP and what kind of firmware?

Thirdly, I have not heard of anyone getting those to work with a PSP. I haven't tried it myself, but I have read on Sony's site that PSPs will only work with Memory Stick Pro Duos, no adapters. I don't know if there's a CFW that changes that.

Sony says that adapters dont work but i personally have gotten two (sd and micro sdhc) adapters to work.

But as tibia said, 24 hour bump at the least.

Format the sdhc on your computer with an adapter first, if you dont have an adapter buy one.

format the mmc adapter with the sdhc put in with an adapter on your computer second.

then try using it with the psp.

if that doesnt work there are unconfirmed reports that sony mmc camera's will format/repair dodgy card/adapter combos.

make sure you plug it in with your psp off, then turn on the psp.

try one at a time, they could be bad cards

also you obviously have tried psp's usb connect then formatting through your computer?

ive tried switching sdhc cards, but that didnt work; i've tried formatting it through my computer, and that STILL didn't work; i've tried to format through my psp, but it says either there is no memory stick, or format failed (80220087)

strange enough, when i goto my psp photo's or video's section, it says i have 29 GB of free psp space, but when i goto check to see if the files are there (VIDEO, PICTURE, BOOK etc...), its empty

is it working with the psp, even though the folders aren't there?

and if sony's mmc camera's might fix it, im not willing to spend a something amount of dollars on a camera costing over $100

im getting another adapter, but this time, from buy.com, mainly because they have the highest seller rating with that item on google; it's probably because i got it form ebay
