problem with my Ps2

I just brought a second-hand ps2 on the internet . They are something wrong with them . When i buy an origin disc , i can run directly and smoothly . but when i put some fake disc ( cracked ) , they dont work How the hell it happens ? . I also realized that after play game , some of my discs have a ring around it Any problem with my ps2 ?

Make your ps2 is on top of something so you cannot kick/step near it. The disk drives cannot be tilted or hit or else it will get the "ring of death". Make sure it is in open space but NOT on the ground. Your steps can ruin the disks sometimes too.
As for playing the games..if you open it up and open the disk drive..there will be a laser..take alcohol on a quetip and go around in a circle on the laser 20 times. Let me know how this works out for ya
