INTERCOOLERs how well do they work ? ( PS3)

iv got a 60gb pal model PS3 that just ylod the other day , this isnt for the mod but i was wondering just how well the intercoolers work ? or if there's something better that doesn't involve mod ( IE opening or cutting holes)

Well, since you have the yLoD...

You have two options


1) Call Sony who will take it for repair and charge you $250 AUS (So I think $150 US - dunno)
2) Open it up and re-flow it yourself


Number two is of course far more better.

All you need is a Heat Gun, Flux and Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste (Not Silicon. you want top-quality)


If you can't / do not have these parts, I am available for Commission to help you out, as at the momment I am re-flowing one for a friend at school (As seen below)

thx but eh i sent it away to company called mod supplier the old heat gun just dosnt cut it , this post is more or less a reflection for when i get it back .... thx
