NEWBIE ALL THE WAY.........someone help?

Yeah Heck I am completley new to all this, and modding for that matter
we were all a newbie when we first started

I have seen my friends and videos online with people hacking there game systems, creating custom versions of the game, putting there own unique style on it. and all that, making the past consoles into portables, giving them there own screens just wow

I am not technilogical smart nor do i know a whole lot about electronics

The only way I can learn is if someone can show me a place where I can read information to learn
I do not care what happens in the future, but I must be informned because after all this is electronics and all that..

yeah thanks i bought the ben heck book but where im lost is understanding why he's doing the steps, i.e. why do i cut this wire and not that other one, why do i need this spacific screen and so forth, how i know where to connect the wires to the parts

Usually it should all be in the descriptions. The wires that are cut are usually to reroute a signal or terminate a signal. Certain screens arent able to provide video input. Just follow the directions, you'll be okay. Basically you're taking a console, trimming it down, hard wiring in a joystick, hardwiring in a screen, wiring in a power supply (battery) and putting it in a pretty case.
