Gots dem broken tool blues...

Post by Metallica Man X »

So there I was, fixing my dryer...when I went to test part of the electricals of it, I found that my multimeter wasn't working for some reason.

Took it a part..found that the poor thing is beyond repair (if it's beyond my repair skill, it's shot, trust me.)

Makes me sad, as I've had it for a long time...I've built 2 portables, and repaired countless items over the years using that little guy...Now it's dead...

Anybody else get the broken tool blues lately?

Yeah,

When I was doing some PIC stuff the other day I couldn't get the circuit working and had no idea why until I realised my multimetre was broken and using a different one I found out my programmer was broken so after getting parts to fix it I found out my soldering iron was broken.

I had this pair of wire cutters my parents got me, the end was the part where it cut (Not like in the middle like most) would cut through metal, plastic, and helped me out tons with my modding. It bent at the top after a long time, I depended on those this for my work

My dremel sanding bit got wonky and I ghetto-rigged it back to normal.

Also, I have a pair of cutter things I got from my uncle, and the blades are getting dull. I use those for all my wire cutting, plastic cutting, and (thin) metal cutting.

Had one of the wire test leads on my multimeter go out. Good thing radioshack sells new test leads.

Old Portercable sander went out a couple weeks ago. New motor brushings and a bit of sanding on the spindle and its working great again!

Those "cutters" I mentioned 2 posts up just snapped :(

Ah, well, my uncle got them for me at his work, and I'm going to visit him in 2 days. :P
