What would be the best product to smooth out this case?

For my NESp that I'm trying to finish before MGC (that I started last year to finish before last year's MGC lol) I am using an old modem/router case. On the front the DLINK logo is regressed into the case and I would like to smooth it out and paint over it. It's not really a hole or a crack so I am not sure which product to use; what would be the cleanest, easiest, and fastest to use and dry. I would need something that is available at a hardware or craft store like Home Depot or Hobby Lobby/Micheal's as anything I would order online would not make it in time.

I suggest epoxy.

I'd go with epoxy. Seems the best option in this situation.

if that area doesnt flex much bondo/spot putty would work fine. if it does flex a bit then plastic weld (like i posted about in my GBOsnes thread) or some sort of epoxy would be stronger

I think it would be best to sand it flat instead of using a filler, so there's no lump in the end product.

I use bondo glazing putty or liquid ABS for things like that. The ABS I'm using has a consistency of honey, and works well for this.

i'm a big fan of the epoxy putty. works great for such things. just be ready to sand a lot.
