ps2 moding question

how much would a ps2 cost if someone put a modchip in it, and or is there a way to mod the ps2, so, that for instance if I plug in a ddr mat, the game or the system somehow thinks that the ddr mat is a dualshock controller?

you could map what buttons do what with a ddr mat vs a dualshock 2 controller, and then replace the ddr mat guts with the dualshock 2 guts and hook up the buttons accordingly. may i suggest you use the later A version dualshock 2, because it would likely be the easiest to work with
