OK an update.

Re-located the 10 caps on the Dvd Board.

Re-located the Dvd board.

Let's put that into perspective:

The Dvd board is connected to the mainboard with 50 pins. So I had to cut and strip 50 wires, that's 100 wire strips. Then I had to tin 100 wire ends. Then I had to solder 100 wires. And these were small wires and solder pads, not large ones like on a cart slot. Then I had to check 100 wires for shorts.

When all was done it worked perfect, so job well done :)

How wide is that ribbon? Is it one row of pins or two?

25 wide , 2 rows. If you look closely you can see the electrical tape underneath the top ribbon cable with the other ribbon cable underneath.

The last commissioner didn't pay, this commissioner did. Seems fairly obvious :P

So you didn't give him the portable, right? I thought commissioners paid BEFORE construction of their portable?

I really don't understand what the problem is. The other person commissioned a portable but wanted a thread about it started first. I started the thread and was working out the details and he never paid.

Along came another person who wanted me to do the same type of portable, he paid and I started working on it.

Oh, didn't think you were there. I was just saying that "the funnest part" (one of the hardest parts) is rewiring the GD-Rom drive board.
