Sorry guys but I'm not the expert in this but is there actually a difference between the NES and Nintendo Family Computer (Femicom)?

Different cart styles and different television signal formats.

Famicom is also capable of better sound than the nes but not by much.

famicom is way smaller, but you can make the nes as small as one.

it also doesn't suffer from the notorious blinky light problem....as it doesn't use that horrible zero force slot.

It also had addons that never made it to the use such as the Famicom Disk System (used 3.5 inch floppy disks for games) and there was also a modem available for it too!
