yes. is it probable? no. hasnt been done to my knowledge. rekarps board might support it though.

Lets put it this way. If you've read about Ben's Atari 800 laptop, well the MyIDE, that's the closest to what you're asking. In that it is a limited production custom made adapter that bridges the cartridge slot to and IDE interface. Ben modded his to work with Compactflash (not hard). You can look into it, but like Sponge said, it will be very hard as the Atari consoles don't have a BASIC prompt to help in loading games and such.

If you're feeling frogy, go for it. It would be a cool project to see.
