Little LCD Screen

Post by Vedran »

I took apart this little thing I found in my room:

I want to see if I can take out that LCD screen, but I have one problem.
Is it possible to take out the screen, since it's attached to the motherboard by some sort of black and grey striped plastic thing. I would take a picture, but you cant recognize it on my junk camera. It is about 2-3 inches long, or wide...hmm from a top view, from left to right, it is about 2-3 inches. Just a grey, plastic, thin, thing, with a bunch of black stripes going downwards.

*Update* Here are some pictures:

Why do I want to take it out? I want to see if I can hook it up to my nano-pet thing. I just want to play around with it.

You'll need a controller chip to get any output from the thing. Expect 10-20 pins as actual power/io pins. If there are more than that, you're dealing with raw LCD data.

You can always program it to play Pong.
