a while back someone gave a link to the http://www.palmpsone.com , which was pretty interesting. But after revisiting the site I was interested by the "Two player Parallel port" listed in the specs of the unit. I was just wondering if anyone had any knowladge of how it worked. Theres a picture http://www.palmpsone.com/specs4.html here at the left of the page. I had heard rumors of a linkcable for the playstation like an ethernet cord for the Xbox or a link cable for a GBA, but is this it? And does the cord support all games? Anyinfo would be great. Thanks in advanced.

Games that supprot it will have it on the back of the case like with xbox games being lan compatable (Halo). As for finding one I dont know they're probibly getting harder to find now that Sony no longer produces PS(X) systems and have not use for the system/vs link cable.

I know that out of the Armored Core series (for playstation) Master of Arena is, AC1 and Project Phantama maybe as well. You'll jsut have to check the cases to see what have the support. Its just not a feature that people uses that often.stereth wrote:It's hard to find PS2 link cables anymore. They're all going to ethernet.
The only PS1 link title that comes to mind is Gran Turismo 2. Maybe GT1 as well.

Actually he never got his to work. You have to add some hardware to it in order to make a link cable work. In the N64 furoms I talked about that will give you some info on it. I think it's meant to be like a seconed controller port except power is then only going to the screen and controller. And you have a/v going into it through there. If you can get it to work the nice is thing is you only need one cd to play a link that way. You could try it like Ben's but I'm not sure how you'd set it up.
It couldnt have been the serial port, because the PSone had only the AV out. The psx had serial parallel, and AV. BTW, does anymone know what the 3rd port on the PSX is used for? The one covered by a door? My friend says its for an external battery, but I doubt that.

Custom job. Gives you a controller with a screen. There is a system link for the Playstation, but not the PSOne.
Ok I have an old playstation, so I could get a link cable? Also do many games support it, and is it veryhard to find.
