I lolled, 120GB drive is VERY hard to put in to a PSP, and the casing would have to be modified too, because it'd make it fatter.

the body of the psp would need to be redone. a laptop HD is smaller then a desktop HD.

I know that, but 2.5" is still bigger than a PSP..

That is a theoretical mock-up of a future PSP. Doing a tablet-style screen would be difficult, fragile, and ultimately impractical. A second analog stick would do nothing for current PSP games that are not programmed to use one. And there's no way to cram a hard drive inside a case that small.
How much are you looking to spend on this heavily-modified PSP, anyway?

You're probably better off having a cable coming out of the PSP that attaches to . . . maybe a solid state drive or something . . .
or buy four of
these . . .

Or not. They're from Hong Kong, so they are total fakes.

Been thinking about doing this myself but ran into the case problem also. You might look around at different places like polycase.com where you could send in a design and they'd make a custom case and you could just put the guts of the psp with the hd in the new case, but if you were to do that the case would be pretty dang thick but still look into designing you own case

Does the screen slide or flip open? If it slides, it's easier to mod the PSP Go I think.

This would be a much easier and cheaper mod to do, but would only get you 32gig of memory.

Not too sure of the limit, but with that SD card converter I linked its thought that the adaptor has a 32GB limit (2x16GB cards).

But you could replace the flash memory of the PSP Go? It has 16GB, and you can buy up to 512GB. Extremely expensive, but possible.
